Barnesy celebrates four decades of Australia's most iconic album with Icehouse, Ian Moss and Kate Ceberano joining him for stadium shows across the country.

Forty years ago, a young bloke from Glasgow via Adelaide released an album that would define not just his career, but an entire nation's identity. For The Working Class Man shot straight to number one and hasn't left the Australian consciousness since.

Now Jimmy Barnes is hitting the road to celebrate the album's 40th anniversary – and he's bringing some mates.

The Album That Defined Us

Released in December 1985, For The Working Class Man spent seven weeks at number one and has sold over 500,000 copies in Australia. As the authors of The 100 Best Australian Albums wrote: "It defined both him and much of Australia."

From "I'd Die To Be With You Tonight" to "Paradise," every track is etched into the national DNA.
