The Gamilaraay artist returns with his most personal album yet, debuting at #2 on the ARIA Charts.
The Kid LAROI has released his second studio album Before I Forget, marking a triumphant homecoming for Australia's biggest global export in hip-hop.
The 15-track album, released on January 9 via Columbia Records, debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart while topping the Australian Artist Albums Chart – his third top-three entry.
A Personal Journey
In an Instagram post, LAROI shared the album's origin: "I made this album in 4 months. I had a whole other album completed but scrapped it – I didn't feel comfortable releasing it. Started again from scratch with the exception of 1 song."
The album is largely driven by his July 2025 breakup with girlfriend Tate McRae. He called it "my favorite and most personal thing I've ever made."
Chart Success
In the United States, Before I Forget debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200, earning 41,000 album-equivalent units in its first week – becoming LAROI's second top-10 album following F*ck Love.
Representing Indigenous Australia
The Gamilaraay man continues to represent Indigenous Australians on the world stage while supporting community initiatives in his hometown of Waterloo. His return to Australian stages in early 2026 was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from fans who've watched the Redfern-raised artist become a global phenomenon.
The album features guest appearances from Andrew Aged, Clara La San, and Lithe, with lead single "A Cold Play" released in September 2025.
